Baro is a vibrant Filipino American streetwear brand that celebrates cultural heritage through fashion. OPERATION SALITA
Operation Salita is an empowering campaign initiated by Filipino American students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, aimed at enhancing representation for the Filipino community on campus. Recognizing the importance of language in cultural identity, the campaign seeks to establish a Tagalog language course for credit, providing students with the opportunity to connect more deeply with their heritage. Through advocacy, community engagement, and educational initiatives, Operation Salita strives to create an inclusive environment where Filipino culture and language are celebrated and valued. This grassroots effort not only highlights the rich diversity within the university but also fosters a sense of belonging and pride among Filipino students and their peers.
